ARRIVAL & CITY TOUR

Arrival and check-in to the accommodation. Guided city sightseeing. Attend a folklore concert in the evening followed by dinner in one of the best restaurants in Ulaanbaatar.

ROCKY MOUNTAINS (BAGA GAZARIIN CHULUU)

Drive to Baga Gazar today. The area is granite canyon erected in the heart of the steppe. You may hike around these rocky mountains and visit the site of the ruins of an old temple dating from the 17th century.

Yol Ice Valley

Drive to the Gurvan Saikhan National Park, the most beautiful Park in the Gobi with a stunning canyon landscape, the Gobi Glacier and the local wildlife. At local town, stop by to visit Gobi museum and the local black market for shopping.

After relaxed morning we go for hiking excursion in the ICE Valley to explore the beautiful surrounding of the Gobi Valleys.

Khongor sand dune

Today we drive through a truly desolate desert landscape toward the largest sand dunes of Mongolia. The dune is called “singing dune” because of the strange sound that makes because of wind, reaching its highest point of 800m and length of 190 km. Hike to the top of the sand dune at sunset you will see the best view of your life.

Camel Trekking

Wake up by the sound of the singing dune. Enjoy camel riding in the morning and leave for the next destination after lunch. It is an area of red cliffs that were formed by the erosion of sand and rock over thousands of years.

Bayanzag Flaming Cliffs

This area is famous for its first discovery of DINOSAUR EGG by paleontologist Roy Chapman Andrews in 1923. From this exploration the world found out that dinosaurs laid eggs. Here you will have a hiking tour to explore the world-famous Flaming Cliffs.

Ongiin River

This morning we will do some climbing up to the Khavtsgait mountain to see its famous petroglyphs from ancient times. Apart from the petroglyphs, you’ll have great surrounding valley from the top of the mountain. Then well head to the Tourist camp. This bare steppe area along the Ongi River makes a good resting place to break a trip between the Gobi Desert and the Central Mongolian steppe.

Kharkhorin

Today hit the road to Kharkhorin Townn and visit Erdene Zuu Musuem which is the first Buddhist Monastery in Mongolia, and was established on the ruins of the Great Mongolian Empire of 13th century.

Tsenkher Hot Spring

Today we depart for Tsertserleg city. The capital city of Arkhangai province is a small town surrounded by stony hills. Visit the local market to do a little bit of shopping. After lunch, take a short time to arrive at the scenic Tsenkher hot spring.

In the morning you may go horse riding to explore the surrounding. Enjoy your free time today hiking around and getting into the outdoor hot bath at night while watching the stars.

Great White Lake

Today we will hike around the breathtaking Chuluut River Canyon and eat our packed lunch by the worshipped tree of the locals. In the late afternoon, we will reach to eye-catching Тerkh white lake. There, we will stay at a tourist camp near the lake shore.

Khorgo Volcano hiking

In the morning hiking to the Khorgo extinct volcano which was active 8000 years ago. In the evening horse riding to explore the lake shore.

Local village

After breakfast, we will drive toward the Northern part of Mongolia. Today you may visit a local nomadic family to immerse yourself in the complexities of the nomadic way of life.

Bronze Age Deer Stone

On the way to Khuvsgul Lake we will stop by “The Uushgiin Uvur Deer Stone Complex”. This is a UNESCO-listed funeral site from Bronze Age.

Khuvsgul Lake

Mongolia is the best destination for horseback riding trips and Khuvsgul province is the best-recommended place for this experience. You may go on horse riding to explore the surroundings. One of the must-see at this lake is to visit the reindeer herding local family whose livelihood is much different than other nomads.

Enjoy boating in the world’s second-biggest reservoir of pristine water. The lake is not only famous for its water purity but also for the stunning beauty of surrounding nature. This protected area is also the best place to go on mountain trekking.

Immerse yourself in the captivating beauty of the Central Mongolia’s verdant landscapes through an invigorating scenic hike.

Amarbayasgalant Monastery

On our final night in the countryside, we will be staying at Amarbayasgalant Monastery site. Explore the historically rich Amarbayasgalant Monastery during your visit.

Return to Ulaanbaatar City

Drive back to Ulaanbaatar city and enjoy free time to stroll around city to do souvenir or cashmere shopping.
