Arrival and City Tour

Arrival in Ulaanbaatar, the capital of Mongolia. You will be welcomed by our guide. Transfer to Hotel. After lunch, we will have a city tour and visit Gandan Monastery (Mongolia's largest functioning Buddhist monastery), Sukhbaatar Square and Zaisan Hill for a panoramic view of the entire city. In the evening we will enjoy the traditional performance of the Tumen Ekh ensemble; where its artists perform all types of Mongolian song, music and dance. Following dinner, we will have a briefing about our journey through Mongolia. Accommodation: 4* star Hotel. (LD)

Elsen Tasarkhai

In the early morning, we will drive to Elsen Tasarkhai sand dune which is a unique area combining forest and Gobi sand dunes. Considered as a miniature Gobi, it is 80 km long, and the widest part of the sand dune is 9-10 km. Camel-trekking is available here as well. Accommodation: Ger camp (BLD)

Uurtiin Tokhoi

Staying at Orkhon River, situated on the way to Khujirt spa-resort and 10km southeast from Bat-Ulzii soum, Uvurkhangai aimag. Try your skills with archery, take photos with an eagle and drinking therapeutic spring water that flows out from ground at Uurtiin Tokhoi. Accommodation: Ger Camp (BLD)

Orkhon Waterfall

Drive to Orkhon Waterfall. It is a waterfall on the Ulaan River that cascades from an impressive height of 20 meters. The Orkhon River flows through basalt rocks which were formed along Orkhon valley due to cooling of hot lava from volcanic eruption. The waterfall is a great spot for bird watching and fishing. You can also visit a local horsemen family. There we have an opportunity to experience their way of life, their culture and traditions. Accommodation: Ger Camp (BLD)

Khuisiin Naiman Nuur - Burug /20km/

Once we reach Khuisiin Naiman Nuur Lake, our horseback riding tour begins. Lunch at Hyatruun trap. Horse riding for 20 kms and overnight stay at Bituut River in a tent . Accommodation: Tent (BLD)

Khuisiin Naiman Nuur - Khuis Lake /15km/

Breakfast. Horseback riding continues through the lake area. Lunch at Bodon foreland. Overnight at Khuis Lake - one of most attractive lakes of Naiman Nuur area with rare birds. Overnight in a tent. Accommodation: Tent (BLD)

Khuisiin Naiman Nuur - Shireet Lake /8km/

Breakfast. Horseback riding continues through the lake area. Lunch at the largest Shireet Lake, photo shooting and bonfire. Accommodation: Tent (BLD)

Khuisiin Naiman Nuur - Duruu lake /13km/

Breakfast. Arrival at Duruu Lake. Lunch, dinner and overnight at the lakeside. Accommodation: Tent (BLD)

Khuisiin Naiman Nuur - Hyatruun /18 km/

The tour starts at 11 am from Bodon foreland to Hyatruun foreland. Overnight at ger hotel. Accommodation: Ger camp (BLD)

Ulaan tsutgalan /10 km/

Today we head back to Ulaan Tsutgalan waterfall where the tour begins. End of the horseback riding tour. Accommodation: Ger Camp (BLD)

Tuvkhun Monastery

Drive to Tuvkhun Monastery. Tuvkhun Monastery is located in the High Mountains, marking the north side of the Orkhon Valley. Here lies the ruins of this ancient temple and retreat. Zanabazar who was the spiritual head of Tibetan Buddhism, founded the site in 1653 and lived, worked and meditated here for 30 years. Accommodation: Ger camp (BLD)

Kharkhorin Town

Drive to Kharkhorin soum. Kharakhorum was once the ancient city which, for a short time, served as the capital of the Mongol Empire under Ogedei Khan. Another Kharkhorin landmark is Erdene Zuu Monastery and its famous phallic rock. We will have a short visit to the Erdene Zuu Monastery, which is the first Buddhist Monastery in Mongolia. It was established on the ruins of ancient Kharkhorum City in 15th century. The monastery of Erdene Zuu is a focal point in history and culture of Mongolia. Hustai National Park

Drive to Khustai National Park. Takhi (wild horse) reintroduction project at Hustai National Park started in 1992. Thanks to the successful implementation of the project, today there are over 220 takhi in the park. It is one of the most well-known and prestigious special protected areas in Mongolia. Visit the museum of NP and watch documentary films of Mongolian wildlife, Khustai NP, takhi reintroduction, khulans, wild camels, marmots, red deer and Gobi bears are available as well. We can go hiking and photograph the wild animals and takhi. Accommodation: Ger camp (BLD)

Return to UB city

Drive back to Ulaanbaatar City. Take a rest on the last day in the city and have a farewell dinner with the travel group in the evening. Accommodation: 4* star hotel (BLD)
